"The 1 star is only for THE PROFESSIONALISM OF YOUR OFFICE STAFF. Thanks Matt for responding to this evethough I had to reachout for a follow up on this issue and have never personally spoke to you once during the duration of being insured with your practice OR during cancellation. I never even contacted your office except for a few occasions this past october. Those time I only spoke to Linda and Linda. I just paid my bill on autopay and left it at that so no I did not notice initially my mileage was incorrect. Since 2017 I have had NO changes in my driving habits so THIS was mentioned BY ME at the time of requesting to be insured. Also, I was not aware of the amount of the difference but principle is that I was over paying, whether it was 1$, 10$, or 100$. Unfortunately, everyone's situations are different and that $1 could have made all the difference to them while they struggle and no one deserves to be shamed over that. Have a great rest of your business venture. Wishing you many more. Original: Got overcharged for over a year and then told nothing could be done because I cancelled. My annual mileage is under 4k/yr. My odometer currently says 23k mi on a 6 y/o car. I was asked this at the time and let them know when I signed up how little it was drove. Well, I am purchasing another vehicle for a different state and was told by that agent that if I drove under 7.5k mi/yr I would have a low mileage rate. I looked online and someone in office pulled a weird mileage of 11k+/yr. when I signed up for the policy. When following up I was told I was SOL for all the extra previous money I was OVERcharged and that there was no record of WHO filed my policy or WHERE that mileage number came from. Thanks State Farm."
"I am sorry you are upset with my office and have given us a 1 Star rating over a $10/month discount we weren't aware you qualified for. I do apologize if you felt my office didn't handle the insuring of your car properly at the time of application. We ask the same questions of everyone and input the information given to us. The average person drives 10-12k miles/year, so our system defaults an amount in that range when giving a quote. It appears that you do drive less than the 7.5k/year mileage to earn the low miles discount. If you would have told us that you drive low mileage at the time we insured you, we would have set it up so that you had the low mileage discount applied to your policy. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and you didn't notice if at the time of application or at your November renewal. We could have updated your policy at any time to include the discount. We strive to offer the best customer service we can, but we also need the assistance of the customer to make sure they are getting the policy they want. Please call me if you'd like to discuss it further."
